Attorneys Samuel A. Adams | Associate

Sam joins Thomas Combs & Spann after graduating from Washington & Lee University School of Law. His burgeoning practice focuses on civil defense litigation, including the defense of mass product liability torts.

As a summer associate with TCS, Sam provided case workup and expert support for mass tort cases. While attending W&L, Sam worked in the Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic representing coal miners in their claims for federal benefits. The Federal Black Lung Benefits Act is an area of law once described by the U.S. Supreme Court as "byzantine" and is commonly referred to as a battle of experts. Sam excelled at all aspects of working with various expert witnesses during his time in the Clinic. He received the Administrative Law Award from the school faculty for being the best in the graduating class in the area of administrative law.

Sam earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to law school, he worked in the IT sector of the automotive industry with companies such as Honda, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz for seven years.
